GUT MICROBIOME & GASTROINTESTINAL HEALTH

Seeing a dietitian can help you to identify the cause of these symptoms and put you on the path towards improving your gut health and function. I can help with the following concerns:
Improving gut microbiome health and biodiversity
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) - Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis

IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME
This is one of my favourite conditions to manage! With more than 8 years experience helping clients with IBS, I have learned that managing this condition requires understanding your client, their goals, habits, routines and life demands. I am experienced with both the Low FODMAP Diet and the RPAH Food Chemical Elimination Diet.
I also understand that not all clients are in the position to undertake an elimination diet. For these clients, I create a customised plan to help you manage your symptoms.
METABOLIC & CHRONIC HEALTH CONDITIONS
Many clients with metabolic or chronic health conditions will be eligible for a GP Management Plan, providing you with a Medicare rebate on up to 5 dietetic consultations per year. Please see your GP to find out more.

FOOD ALLERGIES & INTOLERANCES
Food intolerance is a very common condition, and may impact up to 25% of the Australian population. It is important to distinguish food intolerance from food allergy:
- Food allergies cause an immune response and can be fatal.
- Food intolerances can result in a wide variety of symptoms including rash, hives, bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, recurrent mouth ulcers or headaches. While they are not fatal, they can be very distressing.
Following your diagnosis with a food allergy or intolerance, it is important to consult a dietitian to help you learn how to achieve a nutritionally-complete diet while avoiding exposure to your trigger foods.
